Great location, great staff, very helpful – May 2010
« My wife and I stayed here during a recent visit to Paris. We got caught in the volcanic ash problem and could not return to the US for a week. The hotel staff was great, the room we were provided was excellent. Cannot express words to say how much we appreciated their help and advise during our stay. »

« Superbe hôtel à côté de l’Assemblée » – Février 2010
« J’ai séjourné avec ma compagne dans cet hotel à l’occasion d’un déplacement professionnel. La chambre était splendide d’autant que nous avons été surclassés dans une suite magnifique avec 2 salles de bains. La chambre est très bien insonorisé et bien équipée. Les parties communes sont en cours de réfection, ce sera sans doute encore plus beau après. »

“Fantastic and authentic!”
I stayed with a friend at the Bourgogne & Montana Hotel, having seen a writeup of it in a book about small deluxe Parisian hotels. Wow this did not disappoint! When we checked in they upgraded us to an executive suite which was huge, with two bedrooms and two full baths! Although the building is obviously old, the facilities in the bedroom were very up to date – nice bathrooms and flat screen TVs. Decor was delightful. The breakfast was included in the rate and was fabulous. The best scrambled eggs I have ever eaten. The location was out of the way but still walkable to most everything; we felt very safe there. I would love to return!!

“What a Gem!”
if you want the charm and personal service of a truly unique boutique hotel, look no futher! The location of the Bourgogne & Montana Hotel is fantastic; it’s a short walk to many of the major attractions, and close to 3 Metro stations (Assemble Nationale, Invalides, Varenne). We were 3 women traveling together, and felt perfectly safe walking alone, even late at night. (The hotel is directly accross from the Assemble Nationale with armed guards on all sides 24/7.).
The staff was exceptionally friendly, and all spoke English. They went out of their way to assist in any way possible. The guest rooms, restaurant, and lobby areas were immaculate! The bird-cage elevator truly is part of the charm and experience. This is an exceptional hotel, and an amazing value for the money. I will definately stay here again

« I am so happy with our experience at the Hôtel Bourgogne & Montana that I wanted to let you know. A little over two weeks ago I brought a group of 13 chocolatiers to France for a program with Valrhona chocolate. We started and ended our program in Paris at the Hôtel Bourgogne & Montana.Grace Dos Santos worked with me to arrange the booking for all the rooms and she was wonderful. She made the process effortless and was able to get us what we needed in room allocations for the chocolatiers as well as their extended stays before and after the program. Everyone enjoyed their rooms and stay – especially the kindness and caring they received from Grace and the other staff.
We have been bringing groups of chocolatiers to France each spring for 5 years and had previously used a travel agent for hotel bookings but the quality of the rooms and service we received was very inconsistent. Last year the hotel didn’t tell us they had half their rooms closed for a renovation and when we arrived moved everyone to a lower quality hotel nearby. That was the end for me.
After 4 frustrating years, I decided to book the rooms myself for 2008 and I am so grateful that the Hôtel Bourgogne & Montana was recommended to me by a colleague. I couldn’t be happier to have found a « home » in Paris and we will be back each year from now on if you’ll have us. Wishing your hotel group much success in the future and again thank you for the professional personnel and quality of experience that you provide for your guests. I will certainly be recommending the Hôtel Bourgogne & Montana along with your other hotels to anyone traveling to Paris. »
Best Regards,
Pam Williams

« Located in one of the poshest residential neighborhoods in Paris, this small hotel is within walking distance of most of the major shopping and sights. Located on a small plaza behind the Assemblie National, the hotel was comfortable. I recommend, however, getting a junior suite (the best price for the best sized
room of many hotels we looked at). And, get one that faces the plaza. Our bedroom was cool and comfortable with dual basins, one bathtub, hand held shower (the « douche »), and a king sized bed. The breakfast, which lasts until 10, was very ample with most anything you need to get your motor fueled for a day of walking. »

« This was my third stay at the hotel over a period of about 6 years.
Reviewers are right about the elevator, but that’s part of the charm. It looks like a giant birdcage. But we’ve always had a porter available to take up our luggage separately.
The rates are excellent for a hotel of this quality, and the staff is welcoming and speaks English.
The breakfast room is charming.
There is a fabulous restaurant, Tante Margerite, right next door.
And the pastry shop across the street also has great salads and sandwiches to go, or to eat in their restaurant upstairs »

Hotel staff was very informative and helpful and a metro station was very close. I expected a bit more from the hotel due to the price of the rooms, but overall it was a nice place to stay.

« I am happy I picked this hotel, the staff are just great they all speak English and are from multi cultural backgrounds. They are very friendly and helpful I never experienced one rud action. The buffet breakfast is more like a brunch/combo it has almost anything you would want set in a cozy breakfast room. We had room 37 which is two room 2 bath suite, great. We loved the birdcage elevator. The hotel is immaculate. The location is great central for a walk or metro ride anywhere, it is also very quiet and safe. I will only stay there next time. »

« Dear Grace, I’m sorry that it has taken me this long to write to you to thank you for the wonderful and delightful stay that I enjoyed at the Bourgogne et Montana. I also thought everyone on the staff was very, very nice, every one of them, and appreciated their assistance. Thank you for everything and most certainly the hotel will be recommended to any clients headed for Paris. I found the location perfect, and especially appreciated its central location! I am already longing to come back to what is, I do believe, my most favorite city in the world! »
