His book The Idiot and the Odyssey – Walking the Mediterranean relates his hike around the Mediterranean Sea. Armed with his copy of Homer’s Odyssey, he explored the coast, countryside and regional cultures including Morocco, Spain, Italy and France – as well as his own mind – with compulsive vigour.
