Cafe culture in St Germain 5 novembre 2008
Posted by webmaster in : Gastronomie,News,Parcours,Zoom , trackbackLet’s have a cultural break in some famous and symbolic cafés and restaurants.

In the deap heart of the capital, separated from the bustle or other districts by invisible but impervious gates, the St-Germain-des-Prés “village” is a pleasant resting place with its famous cafés terraces. The minds of great French poets and writers rule over the Church square, and have left their mark on the atmosphere of the Café de Flore, the Café des Deux Magots and the Brasserie Lipp. There even is a literary prize, the Prix de Flore, that is awarded here every year. Apollinaire, Vian, Prévert, Simone de Beauvoir… with many others they came here and made these cafés their headquarters of cultural exchange. These mythical cafés and restaurants were also the regular meeting-point of famous painters, intellectuals, film directors and actors such as Picasso, Marcel Carné… The list continues until today. So why not taking a walk to the place?
