The Colette concept store gets a makeover for the new season 21 octobre 2008

You may not know this but France is one of the most popular places for concept stores. The Colette store created
in 1997 in Paris is considered as one of the pioneers. The leitmotif of all concept stores is constant renewal.
Colette is the proof of this after the makeover of the three levels of its store this summer. The architect Masamichi
Katayama/Wonderwall carried out the transformation. Now, CD/DVDs and high-tech are situated on the ground
floor, fashion, beauty, the gallery and the temporary display area are on the first floor, and the water bar is at
basement level. Known throughout the world for its cutting-edge selections, Colette is more than ever centred
on its only Parisian address, and there are no plans to extend the concept to other capitals. For all fans of
“styledesignartfoodmusicbeautynews” – as Colette likes to define itself –, Paris is the only place to be. Unless
one opts for a virtual trip on the Colette website which has also been relooked. And there is now online
shopping for all articles that are in stock and music to listen to, blogs, television, etc. A city guide site by Colette
is coming soon. No end of surprises at this very Parisian concept store.
