From 22 to 28 September 2008
Exhibitions, shows, screenings, meetings, concerts…are all part of the line-up for this 7th edition of the Week of Foreign Cultures of the Ficep in Paris. From 22 to 28 September 2008, numerous places in the capital will be participating in an intercultural dialogue around the theme “The other voyage — At the crossroads of Europe and the World”.

Each year, the Week of Foreign Cultures— now a reference in terms of its contribution to encouraging cultural exchanges— provides 80 events most of which take place in foreign cultural centres and institutes.

Among others: the exhibition « Paradise lost » at the Institut Hongrois (6th); a screening of « Macbeth» by Welles and Kurosawa at the Maison de la Culture du Japon (15th); the exhibition « Alechinsky. Pavane pour Octavio Paz » at the Instituto de México (3rd)…

The Week of Foreign Cultures of the Ficep is also an introduction to more than 50 languages; a competition open to all, in order to follow the trail of Baudelaire in Paris in the « invitation au voyage »; and a closing concert on 28 September in the Bibliothèque Nationale.
